IIBA Heartland Chapter 8th Annual Business Analysis Conference

Leading Transformation - Delivering Endless Possibilities...

Thanks to all who attended the IIBA Heartland Chapter 8th Annual Business Analysis Conference on September 14 at the Mid-America Center.

Post-conference surveys were sent out to all attendees.  Your comments and insights on the conference are valuable to the conference committee for planning next year's event.  Please be sure to take a few minutes to submit your feedback by 9/29.

The speaker slide decks as well as details on the conference agenda and speaker information can be found on the Conference Event Details page.  The speaker slide decks are also viewable from the conference mobile app (my.yapp.us/8CONFERENCE) under the "Documents' menu.

We've already seen several people respond favorably to the "WANTED VOLUNTEERS" panel discussion by reaching out and requesting more details about the chapter's volunteer opportunities.  What a great step forward in helping "Lead Transformation"!  For those of you that are curious and/or still contemplating becoming a volunteer, check out the Committees page under the 'About Us' link on this site for ideas and options on how you can become involved.

Certification Corner

Certifications and higher levels of education do not always mean you are an expert in your field, nor do they always mean you are 100% qualified to do the job, but they are certainly good indicators of ones abilities and accomplishments.  I found that since I obtained my CBAP Certification, I understand Business Analysis in a much clearer capacity.  Now even with Agile being the big push I can see where the "traditional" Business Analyst does in fact fit in the Agile development life cycle.  Testimonial from our very own Bill the BA, CBAP®

The Heartland Chapter of the IIBA is focused on providing quality learning opportunities and support for individuals wishing to get their ECBA, CCBA, CBAP and/or CBATL business analysis designations.  For information about the various certification options and the process to become certified, visit the IIBA Certification Page.
